You aren’t meant to go through this alone

Together, we can slow down, creating a space where you can feel fully seen and heard. You can notice what your emotions and experiences are quietly showing you, honour the parts of you that have carried so much, and let change and relief unfold naturally.

My approach

I offer a collaborative, emotionally focused approach to therapy. Many of the clients I work with are thoughtful and capable, yet feel alone with parts of their emotional experience.

With the understanding that emotions are messages guiding us toward what we need, therapy isn’t about fixing you, but about slowing down and paying attention—together—to what your experience is telling you.

By working with emotions and lived experience to understand what’s beneath the surface, we begin to notice the patterns shaping your experience, allowing opportunity for meaningful, lasting change.

My process

In our work together, we focus on creating a relationship that feels steady, supportive, and safe enough to slow things down. Sessions often involve pausing to notice what’s happening emotionally and physically in the moment, rather than rushing to solutions or explanations.

Over time, this brings gentle awareness to the feelings, beliefs, and ways of protecting yourself that have been shaping your inner world—often outside of conscious awareness. As there is more room to feel and reflect without judgment, our inner knowing can guide us toward what needs attention and toward what supports a fuller, more authentic life.

Meet Toula

Toula Creighton

I am a Registered Psychologist based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, offering individual therapy to adults across the province.

I’m drawn to this work because of the profound impact that attuned, caring relationships  have had in my own life. Experiencing presence, understanding, and support during difficult times has shown me how healing it is to feel truly seen and held. That experience is what inspires me to be with others in their struggles, offering a space where pain can be met with care and understanding.

In therapy, my goal is to create a safe, supportive, and human space—where you can explore your emotions, notice patterns that have shaped your inner world, and gradually move toward relief, growth, and a more whole sense of self.

I feel it is a great privilege to be let into someone’s inner world, and am grateful for each moment clients trust me to be with them in their pain, growth, and everything that lies in between.
